Children’s Bible Stories

By Joe Felim

If you have children, then you will want to do everything possible to instill a love of God in them. One way to do that is to help them become familiar with Bible stories, because in them is held knowledge and power. When children are very young, however, they do not have the skills to read the Bible themselves. Even when they get older, sometimes children do not like to read. There needs to be a way to reach young people in a manner that is accessible to them. That way is the audio bible. There are children’s Bible stories available in audio formats that entice children to listen and learn.

There is an audio bible that comes in the New International Readers Version for Children. Using language appropriate to children, this audio bible comes in an audio drama version that adds multiple character voices, music and sound effects to bring these stories to life for kids.

Very young children respond well to stories and songs. There are audio bible stories and songs that are available in mp3 formats that come on a CD or can be downloaded onto an mp3 player.

You might have a computer, a home or car stereo and would like to utilize those systems for bringing God’s Word into your children’s daily activities. Now you can, with Childrens’ Bible stories on audio CD. These will play on any CD player in your home or car that are mp3 compatible, many DVD players, and computers.

The audio Bible online can provide a fabulous way for your child to hear the Bible. You can get the Bible in a wide variety of versions and in over 250 different languages, and many of these come in an mp3 format. This type of file can be played on computers, mp3 players and cell phones. Your older child likely spends a vast amount of time each and every day utilizing all three of those technologies. Why not offer them an audio version of the Bible that they can download onto all of these devices, and listen to when they have free moments throughout the day?

If you are a pastor or missionary who is working with children for whom you are not a native-language speaker, it can be tough to get God’s message across to them. Audio bibles can make a huge breakthrough in this regard. You could select the Spanish audio Bible, for example, and pop it into an electric- or solar-operated player, and be able to share Bible stories and Bible verses with them that you might otherwise not be able to do. Children are open to new ideas, and want to learn, so it is appropriate that you provide them with what they want, by utilizing the technology contained within an audio bible to share with them God’s Word, so they can learn more and grow in their faith.

Materials for Pastors

By Joe Felim

If you are a pastor or other religious leader, you know that getting your church members into and reading the Bible on a daily basis is the key to spiritual growth, church growth and outreach. But did you know that over half the people around the world cannot read? Just under half the people in the United States read at a level that makes them incapable of understanding what the Bible says. If this is the case, and you are a pastor trying to get your congregation to read, then what are you to do? There is one bright light that makes sharing the Word of God with members of your congregation much easier, and that is the audio Bible. There are many versions of the audio Bible. The King James audio Bible, the NIV audio Bible, and the Catholic audio Bible, are available in both a CD and mp3 format, making for ready access by your congregation.

The types of materials that pastors will find available online includes the New Testament recorded on a CD, in a compressed mp3 format. What this means is that you can receive CDs for every member of your congregation, who can then play them at home on ordinary CD players, computers and DVD players, and listen to the Word of God at home or anywhere there is a playback device. The New Testament is also available in a downloadable mp3 format, allowing for it to be transfered to a tiny portable mp3 player. This makes Bible study easy to take with you anywhere you go.

By using the Internet, church members and leaders can also find New Testament readings and missionary stories from the field available in a podcast form. The result is that you can subscribe to the podcast, and then select the podcast episodes you wish to listen to on your home computer or mp3 player.

Pastors can use this digital technology to reach young church members as well. You will find children’s versions of the Bible stories of the Old and New Testaments, as well as a host of great age-appropriate sing-along songs, available on CD, mp3, and podcast formats. In this way parents can introduce their children, who might not yet be old enough to read, to the power contained in the Bible.

Another benefit to pastors who work in a culturally diverse church is that the audio Bible has been translated into hundreds of languages. Because of this, it is likely that you will find an audio Bible in the variety of languages you need to meet your church member’s specific linguistic needs.

The audio Bible brings God’s Word into the everyday lives of your congregation members, and being introduced to it, allows you to build on what they are hearing, and deepen their spiritual growth along the way.

Perfect for Newbies

By Joe Felim

I am by no means a Bible expert. My parents had very little religious influence on me. Now that I’m on my own and in my mid 20’s I took it upon myself to find out what it’s all about.

I chose the NIV because it’s simple and easy to comprehend for me (I get lost with all the “thou’s, shalt’s, etc.” in the King James version). I read a review here once that bashed this NIV bible CD because it wasn’t the King James version and it wasn’t in “God’s words”. Well guess what? Unless you speak and read Hebrew they are all translations!

I also chose this CD dramatized version because I’m on the road 4hrs a day along with a regular 8hr work day and have very little time to sit down and read.

The dramatization really helps to visualize the scenarios. On rare occasions it does get slightly cheesy, but overall it’s very tasteful.

If you’re new to religion and/or need something laid out right in front of you in plain simple English this is EXACTLY what you need!
